SVDP Blanket Sunday 2015

Sharing a pic of the High school Youth Group's Blanket Sunday Service Project.  We met Sunday, October 4, 20015 and made 9 warm tie blankets to donate for SVDP Blanket Sunday.  Also, check out our new shirts!  They say "Got Jesus?" on the front, and then "Don't worry, He's got you!" on the back.  Such a great group of teens doing their best to further their faith and serve others.

Parish Picnic August 16, 2015

High School Youth Group helped at the picnic with face painting, games, and much more!

The Fest-August 9, 2015

Such a beautiful day with our High School Youth Group and Faith Family at The Fest at the Center for Pastoral Leadership in Wickliffe, Ohio.  The sun was shining, there was amazing music, an empowering and uplifting Youth Rally, and of course great fellowship.

St. John Cathedral and Cedar Point 7-24-15

Had such an awesome day on Friday with our High school Youth Group from Prince of Peace.  First we stopped and got a tour of the beautiful St. John's Cathedral in Cleveland.  Simply breathtaking! We learned so much about the structure, statues, stained glass windows and relics that make up the gorgeous church.  Perfect way to start our day together as a faith family.  Then we enjoyed the sunshine at Cedar Point...rode the rides, shared lots of laughs and simply had a great time being with great people.  So love this group!

Second Annual High School Youth Lock-in 6-26-15

The Second Annual LOCK-IN was held on Friday, June 26 from 8:30 pm until 10am Saturday morning.

There was glow in the dark volleyball, corn hole, movies, snacks and more!

Boston Mills/Brandywine-February 2015

The Jr and Sr Youth Groups had a fantastic day at Boston Mills/Brandywine tubing and spending time together. We sat by a fire, had lunch and zoomed down the slopes!

The Jr. and Sr. Youth Groups hosted the 1/31/15 Meet and Greet after the 5pm Mass.

Following the Meet and Greet, they joined forces and had a "Bible Bowl." It was great fun along with a lot of Bible education! Below are a few of the pictures.

Christmas Party 12-20-14

Such a fun fun fun group at our High School Christmas party tonight!   Thank you all who helped make food, bring drinks, set up/clean up...and especially to all the teens who took time to find or even MAKE their ugly Christmas sweaters and purchase super awesome white elephant gifts (as well as gifts for me...that really thoughtful!)  Also, thanks for making everyone feel welcome to our group...especially the several new faces we had tonight!!  We are VERY THANKFUL to be a part of your lives! Last Picture: some of the "ugliest" sweaters at our fun youth group party last night!  These teens were such good sports.  We are so blessed to have them in our lives!  Lynette Blizzard

Thanksgiving Project

November 27, 2014: Thanks for all of the help making lunches for the community kitchen this year! They were extremely grateful and wanted to make sure I passed along their thanks to the teens!!  You should all be proud to know you did something to help others and make a change in the world...and I'm very proud of you for that!  Charlotte from the kitchen said she will be in touch for future help from us and even the opportunity to come in and serve with them. So thankful for you all!!!

November 12, 2014: Lynette wrote---we are so thankful for all we have, our faith, family and friends.  Let's get together and give back to those less fortunate.  Save the date for Tuesday, Nov. 25th at 6p.  We are going to put together the lunches for the homeless in the church kitchen just as we did last year.  Please RSVP!  I will get pizza for when we are done also!!

August 4 Trip to the Fest

Always an amazing time with our group!  The Fest was definitely something you have to experience.  So many people walking in faith together in the same place.  Tons of activities, prayer, food, fellowship, awesome concerts and beautiful evening mass.  It was so cool to see Deacon Bob on the stage for mass (you were on the big screen a couple times, Robert Youngblood!) truly lead us by example in our faith walk.  Thanks to all who came and shared the day with you all! Xo

Canstruction Challenge Update 4-4-14:

Lynette Blizzard: "I'm so very excited to share the final product of our Youth Group's CANstruction project!  Very proud of our hard working teens and fellow leaders!  Would also like to give a special shout out to those who donated the canned goods...we couldn't have built this without your support!  It definitely proved to be a challenge, but it's for a great cause, plus it was just fun to work together to build our "stained glass masterpiece" . Judging will take place Monday, so say a prayer for us!  All goods will then be donated to the BACM (Barberton Area Community Ministries)."
